Lydia White, 79, Henderson Drive, Hopkinsville, KY, passed away on March 15, 2021 at her home of natural causes.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 19, 2021 at Lamb Funeral Home with Rev. David Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in Peaceful Meadows Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 18, 2021 at the funeral home.
A native of Hopkinsville, KY, she was born on May 3, 1941, the daughter of the late Oscar Simpson and the late Nellie (Marsh) Simpson.
She was a seamstress for Hopkinsville Clothing Factory and a member of Second Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Cecil White; her son, Robert “Lynn” White; her brothers, James Oscar Simpson, Douglas Simpson; her sisters, Ernestine Pendleton, Helen Good, and Juanita Johnson.
Survivors include her sons, William E. (Virginia) White, Hopkinsville, KY, Jeff (Mary) White, Cadiz, KY, Ronnie (Shonda) White, Hopkinsville, KY; her daughter, Lisa (Charles) Knight, Hopkinsville, KY; her brothers, Hilmond Simpson, Clifford Simpson, William Simpson, Kenneth Simpson, and Keith Simpson, all of Hopkinsville, KY; her sisters, Nell Cooper, Mortons Gap, KY, Carolyn Sugg, Hopkinsville, KY; 9 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
