Mary Carolyn Brake

Carolyn Brake, 81, Oxford Street, Hopkinsville, KY passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at her home in Hopkinsville, KY of natural causes.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 9, 2024 at Lamb Funeral Home with Rev. Don Mathis officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 8, 2024 at the funeral home.

A native of Christian County, KY, she was born on May 25, 1942, the daughter of the late Dan Smith and the late Ida (Myers) Smith.

Carolyn was owner and operator of Mirror Magic Hairstyles. She was also a beautician at Blue Haven Salon. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, Pennyrile Classic Car Club.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Roy Smith.

Survivors include her husband, Mack Brake, Hopkinsville, KY; her son, Daniel (Cari) Brake, Hopkinsville, KY; her daughter, Tammie (Martin) Weight, Grapevine, TX; her brothers, Johnny Smith, Hopkinsville, KY and David Smith, Portsmouth, OH; her sisters, Evie Blakely and Faye Cornelius, both of Hopkinsville, KY; 8 grandchildren.
