Mary Linda Hester

Mary Linda Hester, 81, formerly of Hopkinsville, KY, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at her daughter’s home in Townville, SC, of natural causes.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Lamb Funeral Home with Bro. Darrell Crawford officiating. Burial will follow in Peaceful Meadows Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at the funeral home.

A native of Pembroke, KY, she was born October 26, 1941, daughter of the late Wilford Burgess Fiese and the late Mary Rubene (Shelton) Fiese.

Linda had worked at Piggly Wiggly, Hopkinsville Community College, Christopher’s Mobile Home Estates, MidAm Bank, and Cain’s Potato Chip Company.

She was a member of Living Hope Baptist Church. Linda enjoyed caring for children and helping raise her grandchildren. She was a very caring mother of her three children.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Ray Hester.

Survivors include her sons, Bobby Ray (Marsha) Hester Jr. and Brandon Lee Hester, both of Hopkinsville, KY; her daughter Beverly Lynn (Reuben) McDowell, Townville, SC; her brothers, Ernest Fred “Ted” Fiese, Pembroke, KY, Jesse Lee Fiese, Hopkinsville, KY; her grandchildren, Meghan (Mike) Fitzgerald, Ashton Jones, and Jenna Stacy; her great-grandchildren, Natalie Renee, Madelyn Rose, Nancy Faye, Brooklyn Faith, and Michael Anthony Jr.
