Mary Frances Volk

Mary Frances Volk, 87, Monte Carlo Court, Hopkinsville, KY passed away Monday, November 14, 2022 at her home of natural causes.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 21, 2022 at Lamb Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Dale Combs officiating. Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour on Monday, November 21, 2022 at the funeral home.

A native of Christian County, KY, she was born April 4, 1935, the daughter of the late Harmon West Rorie and the late Ruby (Cato) Rorie.

Mary was a secretary for Hammond Plaza. She served as past president for the Widow and Widower’s Association and was active with the 400 mile yard sale.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edmond D. Volk, Sr.; her son, Edmond D. Volk, Jr.; her brothers, Wendell Rorie, Sam Rorie, and Jerry Rorie; her sisters, Regina Jones and Shirley Andrews. 

Survivors include her sons, Richard H. Volk and Roger T. Volk, both of Hopkinsville, KY; her daughter, Jenise K. Volk, Hopkinsville, KY; her sisters, Ouida Foster and Peggy Noel, both of Hopkinsville, KY, Marilyn Fly, Brentwood, TN; her grandchildren, Jessica Volk Jones and Amanda Volk Stewart; and 4 great-grandchildren.
