Michael “Mike” Hayes

Michael “Mike” Hayes, 73, Pembroke, KY, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2025 at his home of natural causes.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at Lamb Funeral Home with Jeremy Hayes officiating and Freddie Harrison assisting. Burial will follow in New Ebenezer Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at the funeral home.

A native of Hopkinsville, KY, he was born May 2, 1952, the son of the late George Hayes and the late Betty (Shanklin) Simpkins.

Mike was a truck driver and member of Britmart Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Steve Hayes.

Survivors include his wife, Teresa Hayes; his daughters, Tabitha (Bradley) Addison, Elkton, KY, Christi (Randy) Boren, Hopkinsville, KY, Michelle Hayes, Elkton, KY, Geri (Jesse) Smelcer, White House, TN, and Sherry (Ray Coursey) Hayes, Elkton, KY; his brothers, Johnny Wayne Hayes and James Hayes, both of Hopkinsville, KY; his sisters, Cheryl (David) Jones and Marsha (Wendell) Almon, both of Christian County, KY; his grandchildren, Greg Addison, Lauren Adkisson, Madison Boren, Kelsey Brumfield, and Brylee Moorefield; and his great-grandchildren, Hayden Addison, Andrew Addison, and Reagan Addison.
