Nancy (Tolbert) Ford

Nancy T. Ford, born February 14, 1935, died of natural causes in her home the morning of July 12, 2022. She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Lynn Jones; her granddaughters, Tiffany Renea Jones and Kelsey Michelle Jones; and her sisters Debbie Tolbert and Margaret Arrington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ondice Eugene Ford; and her granddaughter, Shannon Leigh Jones.

Nancy excelled in personality and character with her audacious style of floral button-up blouses and elastic pants, paired with a plaid long sleeve button-up shirt and tennis shoes. An elaborate outfit built for comfort and enjoyment. She was a woman of many ineffable talents, but her most admired one was her ability to do everything out of unconditional love.

She lived with an unwavering faith in God as a Christian. Sunday mornings were reserved for church and to habitually arrive late with all of her granddaughters. Then later celebrated the small victory with lunch and ice cream at Dairy Queen, followed by arcade games after endlessly saying “we’ll see” when her relentless granddaughters begged her to play them.

Though modesty was the essence of her lifestyle, “As Seen On TV” was the thing she splurged on, expectedly of course. Well, that, along with any yard sale and bargain hunt store she crossed paths with. She was unstoppable when in the zone of these guilty pleasures. A genetic trait conveniently gifted to her family.

Nancy’s life will be celebrated with shared memories during funeral services scheduled for Thursday, July 14, 2022. Visitation will take place from 12:00-1:00 p.m. with the funeral service to begin at 1:00 p.m., which will take place at Lamb Funeral Home, Hopkinsville, Kentucky. The family respectfully encourages anyone who knew Nancy to attend and celebrate the life of a woman with infinite love and paisley button-up blouses.
