Phyllis Ann Riggs

Phyllis Ann Riggs, 67, Lithia Springs, GA, formerly of Hopkinsville, KY passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Floyd Medical Center in Rome, GA of natural causes.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Rogers Cemetery with Bobby Riggs officiating. Lamb Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Lamb Funeral Home.

A native of Hopkinsville, KY, she was born July 2, 1954, the daughter of the late Donald Leon Spangler and the late Elizabeth Ann (Mason) Spangler.

Phyllis enjoyed gardening and was well known for her green thumb. She also took great joy in music and dancing. She loved her family and especially loved her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Russell Riggs; and her brother, Leon Spangler.

Survivors include her sons, Bobby (Tifanie) Riggs, Lithia Springs, GA, and Chris Riggs, Atlanta, GA; her brothers, Walter Spangler and Wayne Spangler, both of Owensboro, KY; her sister, Gayle Congdon, Cadiz, KY; 7 grandchildren, Isabel, Brandon, Bryant, Juliana, Noah, Emma, and Caleb; and 1 great-granddaughter, Elizabeth.
