Raymond J. Barnes

Raymond J. Barnes, 92, Hanson, KY, formerly of Hopkinsville, KY passed away Friday, December 4, 2020 at Ascension St. Vincent Evansville Medical Center, Evansville, IN of natural causes.

A private funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Lamb Funeral Home with Deacon Bill Sweet officiating.

Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West on Monday, December 14, 2020.

A native of Granville, MA, he was born on March 25, 1928, the son of the late Raymond P. Barnes and the late Ruth (Jackson) Barnes.

He was a postal worker at Westfield Massachusetts Post Office. He retired SFC from the United States Army and was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Heddy Barnes, and his sons, Kenneth G. Barnes and Raymond J. Barnes, Jr. 

Survivors include his daughter, Christa Nicklaus, Germany; his daughter-in-law, Mary Barnes, Bedford, IN; his son-in-law, John Reilly, Ipswich, MA; and 3 grandchildren.
