Rev. David Wayne Parks

Rev. David Wayne Parks, 84, Kenwood Drive, Hopkinsville, KY, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Bradford Heights Nursing and Rehabilitation of natural causes.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at Lamb Funeral Home with Rev. Leon Parker officiating. Burial will follow in McKnight Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at the funeral home. 

A native of Clay, KY, he was born April 3, 1941, the son of the late Isaac Leroy Parks and the late Carrie Veola (Collie) Parks. 

David was a minister for 45 years. He was also a meat cutter at Houchens Grocery. He was a member of Gospel Peace Church and Woodmen of the World. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Parks. 

Survivors include his son, Lonnie Wayne Parks, Christian County, KY; his daughter, Rita (Rob) Parks Walker, Brewton, AL; his brothers, Roy Parks Jr., Paducah, KY, Larry Truman Parks, Mayfield, KY; his sisters, Edna Lois McKee, Rebecca Burns, and Pauline Elkins, all of Paducah, KY; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
