Roger Anthony “AJ” Johnson

Roger Anthony “AJ” Johnson, 63, Antioch Road, Hopkinsville, KY passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital, Evansville, IN of natural causes.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 28, 2022 at Lamb Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Hale Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon until the service hour on Friday, January 28, 2022 at the funeral home.

A native of Hopkinsville, KY, he was born December 16, 1958, the son of the late Ovil Johnson and Goldie (Hendricks) Johnson.

AJ was a crane operator at General Steel for 43 years. He was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church and the Local 181 Engineers Union.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Danny Johnson. 

Survivors include his wife, Darlene Johnson, Hopkinsville, KY; his daughters, Leslie (Ben) Cook and Mary-Frances (Logan) Miller, both of Hopkinsville, KY; his mother, Goldie Johnson, Hopkinsville, KY; his sister, Kathy (Robert) Pennington, Hopkinsville, KY; his grandchildren, Michael Anthony Miller, Frances Grace Miller, Tyler Wayne Miller, Chase Joseph Cook, Blake Thomas Cook.
