Roy Hollis Francis, 100, Julian-Newstead Road, Hopkinsville, KY, passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021 at his home of natural causes.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Lamb Funeral Home with Rev. Russ Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at the funeral home.
A native of Trigg County, KY, he was born February 1, 1921, the son of the late James Thomas Francis and the late Nellie Gray (Wallace) Francis.
He served in the United States Army during WWII. He was a painter and a member of Pugh Flat Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and Sunday School superintendent. He was a life member of the DAV and life member of the VFW Post 1913.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Francis; his brothers, James Wallace Francis, Lamont Francis, and Lennis Francis; his sisters, Cecil Elliott and Bertha Lowe.
Suvivors include his son, Billie Ray (Barbara L.) Francis, Hopkinsville, KY, his daughter, Linda Fay (William Sturtevant) Moore, Hopkinsville, KY, and his grandson, Terry Ray Francis.
