Ruby Marcum Kemp, 97, Southwind Drive, Hopkinsville, KY, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021 at her home of natural causes.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Lamb Funeral Home with Rev. Phil Dunn officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at the funeral home. The family requests that everyone please wear their face masks.
A native of Christian County, KY, she was born December 14, 1923, the daughter of the late Jake Davis and the late Tina (Powell) Davis.
Ruby was a private sitter and had previously worked at Hayes Clothing Company and Louisville Defense Plant. She was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 1913.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Calvin Marcum; her second husband, Authur Kemp; her sons, Phillip Marcum and Joe Marcum; and an infant daughter, Carolyn Marcum.
Survivors include her son, Danny Marcum, Hopkinsville, KY; her daughter, Nancy (Dr. Michael Marks) Marcum, Clarksville, TN; her grandchildren, Glenn Marcum, Nancy Hallmark, LeaAnne Hall; and 5 great-grandchildren.
