Ruth M Evans

Ruth M. Evans, 93, South Sunset Circle, Hopkinsville, KY passed away Sunday, November 6, 2022 at her home of natural causes. 

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Lamb Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Crawford officiating. John Alvin Lowry and Allison Garrett will be assisting. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at the funeral home.

A native of Washington County, IN, she was born December 21, 1928, the daughter of the late John Forest Hall and the late Sara (Motsinger) Hall.

Ruth was a licensed beautician for over 50 years and retired from Western State Hospital Professional Library. She was a member of Living Hope Baptist Church, which her husband Albert named. She was a devoted pastor’s wife and mother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Rev. Albert P. Evans, Jr.; her son, Danny M. Evans; her brothers, Scott Hall, Sloan Hall, Edward Hall, and Elmo Levi Hall; her sisters, Mary Elliott, Pauline Mockabee, Elizabeth Westfall, and Neva Clark.

Survivors include her son, Albert "Sonny" P. (Cecilia) Evans, Hopkinsville, KY; her daughter, Martha E. (Ken) Colley, Hopkinsville, KY; her sisters, Barbara Graves and Audra Payne, both of Indiana; her grandchildren, Scott (Amy) Colley, Danielle (Thomas) Ray, Mark (Melanie) Evans, Sara (Jason) Washburn, and Katie (Wes) Hood; her great-grandchildren, Kyle Graham, Allison (James) Garrett, Tyson Ramsey, Taylor Ramsey, Zoe Ray, Kaylie Washburn, Eli Ray, Ella Kate Colley, Ellie Evans, Talyn Ramsey, Jon Mark Ray, and Tilly Evans; her great-great-grandchildren, Karoline Garrett and Keely Garrett.
