Sharon "DeeDee" DeLois Grosskopf

Sharon DeLois "DeeDee" Grosskopf, 73, Hopkinsville, KY, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Vanderbilt Medical Center, Nashville, TN, with her daughter by her side, following a long illness. 

A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Lamb Funeral Home with Barry Williams officiating.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the service hour on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at the funeral home. 

A native of Freeport, TX, she was born, November 24, 1949, the daughter of the late Reagan Drew Winn and Dorothy Battoe Winn Henderson.

Sharon was a caretaker for many years until she became sick in 2005. She loved traveling the world with her children, dancing, crafts of all kinds, baking and cooking for her friends, and volunteering at Chapel House, where she lived. She cherished her family most of all; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her heart.

She is preceded in death by her father, Reagan Winn in 1980; her dad, Benjamin Odell Henderson in 2011; her maternal and paternal grandparents; and her sister, Diane Bridges. 

Survivors include, her mother, Dorothy B. Henderson, Hopkinsville, KY; her daughter/caregiver, Jessica Dawn Redding, Hopkinsville, KY; her son, William Andrew (Julie) Grosskopf, Hopkinsville, KY; her brothers, John Winn, Donald (Kathy) Henderson, both Hopkinsville, KY; her grandchildren, Wren "Chelsea" (Jesse) Medina, Rockford, IL, Kyle Jacobs, Nashville, TN, Kaylah (Adam) Welch, Cadiz, KY, Desiree (Devin) Vowels, Hopkinsville, KY, Christopher Brady, Elkton, KY, and Addison Grosskopf, Hopkinsville, KY; her great-grandchildren, Alexandrea "Dani" DeArmond, Alijah Welch, Mariana Medina, Stavros Medina, Braydon Vowels and Laylah Vowels; her lifelong friends, Judy Dickerson, Hopkinsville, KY; Archie Wallace, Clarksville, TN; her friends, Paul and Ann Fryer & family of England, Maggie Watchorn and family of Bulgaria, Phillip Smith, of Florida; and Patty Higgins.
