Shirley Scott Farmer, 87, Greenville Road, Hopkinsville, KY passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at her home of natural causes.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 19, 2024 at Lamb Funeral Home with Rev. Phillip Brumfield officiating. Burial will follow in Flat Lick Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, May 18, 2024 at the funeral home.
A native of Trigg County, KY, she was born February 27, 1937, the daughter of the late V. Ledo Scott and the late E. Asilee (Killebrew) Scott.
Shirley was a teacher’s aide at Lacy Elementary for 25 years and a member of Fruit Hill Baptist Church. She was a pianist for the Scott Quartet for 48 years. She was also a pianist for 30 plus years at both New Barren Springs Baptist Church and Fruit Hill Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Durwood “Mutt” Carneal Farmer; and her brother, Donald D. Scott.
Survivors include her daughter, Sherry (Mickey) Noel, Christian County, KY; her brother, Dwight (Linda) Scott, Christian County, KY; her grandson, Dusty (Abby) Noel; and her great-grandchildren, Lyra Noel and Finnian Noel.
