Shirley Knight Scott Bozell

Lady Shirley Knight Scott Bozell, 72, Austin Way, Hopkinsville, KY, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Tristar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN of natural causes.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 19, 2023 at Lamb Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Dale Combs officiating. Burial will follow in Stokes Chapel in Todd County, KY.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at the funeral home.

A native of Todd County, KY, she was born September 13, 1947, the daughter of the late Johnny Albert Knight and the late Rosie (Stokes) Knight.

Shirley served in the United States Army Reserve. She was a surgical tech and poet. Shirley had also worked at Western State Hospital, Christian County Jail, and EOC Hopkinsville-Christian County. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Bozell; her daughter, Sarita Scott Jones; and her sister, Ruth Knight.

Survivors include her son, Joseph R. Scott, Hopkinsville, KY; her brother, Nelson (Sammie) Knight, Hopkinsville, KY; her niece, Vicki Skinner; and her nephews, Barry Knight and Kevin Knight.
