Smith “O.D.” Stokes

Smith "O.D." Stokes, 84,  S. Dividing Ridge Road, Goodlettsville, TN, formerly of Hopkinsville, KY, passed away Monday, August  30, 2021 at Alive Hospice of Nashville, TN, of natural causes.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Lamb Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour, Thursday, September 2, 2021 at the funeral home.

A native of Guthrie, KY, he was born June 19, 1937, the son of the late Baker Odessa Stokes and the late Thelma (Jones) Stokes. 

O.D. served in the United States Army and was the manager at IGA grocery store in Cadiz, KY. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eloise A. Stokes; his daughters, Judy Craft and Becky (Craft) Dossett.

Survivors include his sister, Mildred Payne, Goodlettsville, TN; his grandchildren, Amber Dossett Roeder, Hopkinsville, KY, Ben Dossett, Hopkinsville, KY; and 4 great-grandchildren.
