Terry Bruce Mayton

Terry Bruce Mayton, 71, Hopkinsville, KY passed away Monday, January 26, 2026 at Christian Heights Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Pembroke, KY of natural causes.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 5, 2026 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West with Terry Hancock officiating. Lamb Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

A native of Hammond, IN, he was born December 7, 1954, the son of the late James Louis Mayton and the late Dorothy Evelyn (Fields) Mayton.

Terry worked at Douglas Autotech and was a member of Northside Church of God.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Garnett Dale Mayton and Andy Mayton.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Linda Gayle Mayton, Hopkinsville, KY; his son, Steven Dewayne Mayton, Hopkinsville, KY; his step-sons, Tony Darrell Harris II and Donald Paul Harris, both of Hopkinsville, KY; his step-daughter, Jennifer Elaine Harris, Hopkinsville, KY; his brother, Richard Dean Mayton, Hopkinsville, KY; his sister, Jodi Gay Bader, Hopkinsville, KY; his grandchildren, Shyanna Stearns, Sophia Mayton, Stevie Mayton, Zoey Mayton, Ava Mayton, and Tyberius Mayton; his great-grandson, Jackson Stearns; and numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
