Thomas “Tommy” Charles

Thomas “Tommy” Charles, 84, Antioch Church Road, Hopkinsville, KY passed away Saturday, December 3, 2022 at his home of natural causes.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Lamb Funeral Home with Rev. Glenn Farmer officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from noon until the service hour on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at the funeral home.

A native of Gary, IN, he was born February 16, 1938, the son of the late Thomas Edward Charles and the late Mary Elizabeth (Tignor) Charles.

Tommy was a purchasing agent at Cayce Mill Supply for 43 years and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Betty Charles and Dora Sue Clark; and his granddaughter, Rachel Austin.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Capitola W. Charles, Hopkinsville, KY; his son, Dale (Patti) Charles, Pembroke, KY; his daughters, Kitty (Steve) Vowell, Christian County, KY, Michele (Joe) Austin, Madisonville, KY; 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
