Virginia Dare Burkhart

Virginia Dare Burkhart, 82, formerly of Cadiz, Kentucky, died Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at Quality Care Health Center, Lebanon, Tennessee of natural causes. 

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 8, 2020 at Green Hill Memorial Gardens with Greg Creekmur officiating. Lamb Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

A native of Indian Mound, Tennessee, she was born January 25, 1938, the daughter of the late Chandler Levister Burkhart and the late Mary Leota (Millken) Burkhart.

Virginia served in the United States Women's Army Corps and was a nurse technician at Western State Hospital. She was a member of New Light Baptist Church in Cadiz, Kentucky.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death, by her husband, Doug Field and her sister, Della Gilmer.

Survivors include her son, Rodney M. Trugman, Alpharetta, Georgia; her daughter, Debra Kay Harper, El Dorado Springs, Missouri; her brother, David Lee Burkhart, Clarksville, Tennessee; and 5 grandchildren.
