Virginia Smith, 78, Pleasant View Acres Road, Hopkinsville, KY, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at her home of natural causes.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 21, 2021 at Lamb Funeral Home with Dr. Joe Bufford officiating. Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the service hour on Friday, May 21, 2021 at the funeral home.
A native of Jonesville, LA, she was born February 10, 1943, the daughter of the late Walter E. Henderson and the late Hope Jewell (Keathley) Henderson.
Virginia worked as a clerk for Holiday Park IGA. She was also a florist and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Warren Henderson, Walter Henderson, and Herman Henderson; her sisters, Bettye Phillips and Rowenia Davis.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Freddie M. Smith, Hopkinsville, KY; her daughters, Cynthia Brown, Leavenwork, KS, Penny Russell and Rebecca Hancock, both of Hopkinsville, KY; her brother, Michael Henderson, Hopkinsville, KY; her sisters, Mary Ann Devlin, Johnston, PA, Opal Sue Lambert, Kansas City, KS; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
