Wanda Lyons

Wanda Lyons, 87, Tellico Plains, TN, formerly of Hopkinsville, KY, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2022 at Sweetwater Hospital, Sweetwater, TN of natural causes.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Henderson Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Lamb Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 12, 2022 at the funeral home.

A native of Hopkinsville, KY, she was born December 6, 1935, the daughter of the late LB McFarland and the late Elsie Mae (Cumbee) McFarland.

Wanda was an office administrator for the state of Kentucky. She was a member of Long Ridge Baptist Church and lifetime member of Henderson Memorial Baptist Church. She was a member of Hopkinsville’s Business and Professional Women’s Club, Pennyrile Good Sam’s Camping Club, and a part of Missions Service Core with the North American Missions Board.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Kay Lyons.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Edmond Lyons, Tellico Plains, TN; and her son, James E. Lyons, Jr., Tellico Plains, TN.
