Deanie Meriwether, 91, Murray, KY, formerly of Hopkinsville, KY, passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at Murray Calloway County Hospital of natural causes.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 5, 2021 at Sinking Fork Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Humphries officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Lamb Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour Monday, July 5, 2021 at Sinking Fork Baptist Church.
A native of Christian County, KY, she was born December 19, 1929, the daughter of the late Ethel Wells and the late Vura (McChesney) Wells.
Deanie was co-owner and office manager of Hopkinsville Electric Motor Service. She was a member of Business Professional Women and Sinking Fork Baptist Church, where she was the prayer coordinator and Sunday school secretary.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Matt Foster; her second husband, Nick Meriwether; her son, James Stephen Foster; her brothers, Allie Wells, Lonnie Wells, and Norman Wells; and her sister, Texie Wells Laster.
Survivors include her daughters, Sally Foster Beard, Murray, KY, Barbara (Mike) Lamkin, Hopkinsville, KY; her sons, Nicholas H. (Cathryn) Meriwether IV, Clarksville, TN, Jeffrey D. Meriwether, Hopkinsville, KY; her dear friend, Ron Sholar, Hopkinsville, KY; her grandchildren, Brooke (Alex) Foster-Lacey, Kim (Bobby) Stevenson, Melanie (Jay Fiese) Beard, Stephanie (Wayne Mosley) Hale, Beverly (Jeff) Cheatham-Henderson, Tauzzia (Ed) Bickert, Claire (John) Maher, Nicholas Hunter (Morgan) Meriwether V, Amber (Brian) MacLaine, Megan Skunza, and Dylan (Haley) Colley; 20 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
