Woody Young

Woody Young, 85, North Drive, died Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 21, 2020 at Lamb Funeral Home with Bro. David Gilliland officiating. Burial will follow in Fuller Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 20, 2020 at the funeral home.

A native of Christian County, he was born July 13, 1934, the son of the late Lawrence Young and the late Lonnie Mae Cotton Young.

He was an HVAC Tinsmith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Austin Young, Lawrence Young, Lowe Young, and Calvin Franklin Young; his sisters, Gertrude Williamson, Georgia Wagner, Nell Choate, and Rowena Redd.

Survivors include his sons, Bobby Young and Jimmy (Cathy) Young, both of Hopkinsville, Alan Young, Beattyville, KY; his daughter, Penny (Tommy) Greathouse, Hopkinsville; his brother, Bradley Young, Christian County; his sister, Hilda Gilliland, Hopkinsville; 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchilden.
